We are fortunate that we live so close, we made sure that we came back again to enjoy your amazing hospitality and food. So relaxing and enjoyable. The Christmas decorating of Gettysburg is beautiful and New Year's Eve is quite fun. What a nice unique town. We have moved, but it will never be to far. Thank You!

This sounds like a lot of fun! I hope they do something like this at the hotel in Gettysburg, PA that my wife and I are staying at next summer. I'm excited to be staying right in the middle of town.

I have stayed at the Gettysburg Hotel 2 times and my parents once as a gift for their anniversary last year the First time was good but the second time was not, because of a wedding the same weekend for the previous GM daughter and they comp another stay for us which i gave to my parents as a gift and that was even worse..
So if were ever to consider staying there ar reccomending it I hope things have changed. If you wuold like specifics my e mail is stacihenry13@gmail.com

Love going to Gettysburg! My best advice is pack soda/water (in a cooler), use restaurant.com for food expense (make sure you google "discounts for restaurant.com" make ur dollar count! Then I use priceline negotiator for my stay. We stayed at the Courtyard Marriott (SO gorgeous and brand new) for $55 a night (vs $189 a night). We did also stay at the bed and breakfast downtown, Dobbin House. It was wonderful! We loved staying there... Breakfast and ppl are wonderful, plus great location!

This is a active ages in Gettysburg for sure! The Gettysburg Festival kicked off today, the International Gilbert & Sullivan Festival is at the end of the ages and the Pennsylvania Lavender Festival is next weekend, additional abundant added events.

During the Actual Anniversary Dates, July 1st-3rd, appointment Gettysburg for the Civil War Battle Reenactment. The admirable area is next to the Gettysburg National Military Park overlooking the Round acme and Historic Sachs Mill Covered Bridge.

As of right now, there are some events scheduled for Labor Day Weekend. That Friday (September 2nd) is actually First Friday in downtown Gettysburg, which is always a lot of fun. Also, on Saturday the Adams County Arts Council is presenting an open air Art Show at Hauser Estate Winery. The Gettysburg CVB has an extensive events calendar that is updated regularly. Keep checking back to our blog, we'll be sure to keep you in the loop of what is going on as well. :)

Although we would have liked to have visited Gettysburg for the re-enactment on July 2-3, we have decided to visit over the Labor Day weekend. We're wondering if there are any special events or activities scheduled that weekend?

This is an awesome article!! It was nice meeting you! The first picture of pottery that has the brown vase is Jack Handshaw Pottery. He owns Hobbitt House Pottery. The last picture of pottery is Nick Corso Pottery of Shiloh Pottery. Jack is from Fairfield, Pa and Nick is from Hampstead, Md. We also have Primitives decor, origami jewelry, and various artists' paintings. Majority of our items are from local artists! I'm excited to see this posted in time for our Black Friday sales:) Thank you so much!
